At
age 21, Graham Bensinger, named to Sports Illustrated's Top 25 Under 25, is already making
his mark
as one of the hottest sports broadcasters
in the nation.
His
young career caught
fire in January 2001, when Bensinger launched his own
weekly talk show on an internet-based sports radio station
he developed while in the 8th grade. In August 2003,
Bensinger's show began airing on Sporting News Radio
and a contract with ESPN Radio followed less than one
year later. "The Graham Bensinger Show" began airing on SIRIUS Satellite Radio in 2006. "T
While
seemingly a rookie by industry standards, Bensinger's
experience is more like that of a seasoned veteran.
His list of interviews ranges from broadcasting
icons such as Mike Wallace and Bob Costas... to legends
like Muhammad Ali, Stan Musial, Jim Brown, Dan Marino,
and Pete Sampras... to some of today's newsmakers,
including Barry Bonds, the Williams' Sisters, Danica Patrick, LaDainian Tomlinson, Nick Lachey, Adam Sandler, Mark Wahlberg, and Jesse Jackson.
One
of Bensinger's most high profile exchanges occurred
in February 2004 and again in July 2005 when he landed
interviews with OJ
Simpson. In April 2005 and January 2006, he interviewed
Pete
Rose.
In November of 2005, Bensinger
sat down with Terrell
Owens for an interview widely
regarded as most controversial sports
story of the year. Owens' comments, in the hour long
interview, led to his eventual suspension and benching
for the remainder of the season by the Philadelphia Eagles. (as upheld by arbitrator
Richard Bloch)
Bensinger's interviews have
aired on ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN News, ESPNU and FOX Sports. The programs include:
SportsCenter, Outside The Lines, Sunday NFL Countdown,

When
he's not working the sports scene, Bensinger is participating
in it- especially when it comes to extreme. As an avid
mountain climber, his goal is to scale the tallest mountain
on every continent. So far Graham has summit Mt Kilimanjaro
and Mt Rainier as well as 35 other mountains that
exceed 14,000 feet.
Graham attended Syracuse University and works
in television while he continues his radio shows.
